Portrait Fee Schedule--People and Animals

I set up a photo session with my subject, taking many pictures as resources to create a sketch.  Often there's not one "perfect" photo, so I combine elements from several photos to find the right pose, expression, background, etc.  I share my sketches with you to approve, or to request changes.  Doing sketches first allows us both to have a good visualization of what the portrait will capture.

Once we have a sketch you approve, I begin painting.

Oil portraits are painted to be optimal in the place you will be displaying them, so size can vary considerably,

and price is determined by how much of the figure is represented.

Pastels are created using a special sanded paper which comes in specific sizes, so size determines the price.
